Fayette Booking Records and Busted Mugshots
Every Fayette County arrest passes through one booking point. County staff log the details there. Custody and court officials rely on those entries from day one. The location has moved over the years, so the address matters. A December 2025 local order settles it. The Fayette County Booking Center operates at Fayette County Prison, also called Fayette County Jail, 254 McClellandtown Road in Uniontown. That single fact clears up a lot of confusion. Older reports still point to a regional booking center run by Uniontown Police. That arrangement is history. Work from the Uniontown address.
The jail's mission is straightforward. It holds two groups: people awaiting court action and people serving county sentences. A custody entry shows where someone stands at a given moment. It cannot tell the whole story of a case.
- Booking
- The intake process that records a person for a custody system after an arrest.
- Arraignment
- An early court appearance where a charge and release conditions may be addressed.
- Bond
- A court-set release condition that may be recognizance, unsecured, or monetary.
- Disposition
- The later court result, such as a dismissal, plea, verdict, or other resolution.
Note: A Fayette County custody record is an administrative snapshot, while the court docket is the source for how a case later resolved.
Fayette County Booking Record Fields
No official dictionary of Fayette County booking fields exists in published form. Treat any list of columns as a guess, not a guarantee. A narrow, specific request is the dependable route to the record you want. Dates deserve special care. A booking date is the date of entry into custody. It is not the arrest date. It is not the release date or a final court date either. Bond figures carry the same caution. Confirm any amount against an official custody or court record. A copied listing may be stale or wrong.
| Field | What it can show |
|---|---|
| Name | The person identified in the requested booking record. |
| Booking number and intake time | The county identifier and the time recorded for intake, if held. |
| Arresting agency | The agency that brought the person into the Fayette County process. |
| Charges as booked | Accusations recorded at intake, which are not a final disposition. |
| Bond and release or transfer | Custody information if the agency holds and may disclose it. |
| Booking photograph | The separate image file, subject to the county's current custody and disclosure decision. |
An unofficial Fayette index typically shows a name, a booking ID, the booking date and time, demographic details, the arresting agency, and occasionally a photo. That lineup proves nothing about the county's own app. The county gateway does not offer a browsable result set, and its app landing material never promises an image attached to every record. So compare carefully. When entries come from different systems, keep the source and the person's custody status in view before drawing conclusions.
Request Fayette County Booking Photos
Want an older Fayette County booking record, or a photo a current-custody channel doesn't show? The county's Right-to-Know Request Form is the tool to use. Address it to the Open Records Office. Name Fayette County Jail or the Booking Center as the likely custodian. Delivery is flexible. Email, mail, fax, and in-person drop-off all work. One practical tip applies here. A focused request travels faster than a blanket demand for every record tied to a name.
- Give the full legal name and an approximate, limited booking date range. Include a booking number only when it is already known.
- Request the booking date and time, arresting agency, charges recorded at intake, bond information if held, release or transfer date, and any public disposition link.
- Ask separately for the booking photograph in the county's available electronic format and ask the agency to identify any redaction or withholding basis.
- Keep the written response. If access is denied in whole or part, use the written explanation and the Office of Open Records appeal information.

Pennsylvania's Right-to-Know process generally allows five business days for a written response. Extensions and denials can lawfully stretch or cut that short. Fayette County posts no set booking-photo fee and no fixed turnaround time for photo requests. Disclosure, copying costs, and timing all depend on the custodian and whatever exemptions apply. The county's form states one thing plainly. You need not give a reason for asking. That freedom has limits, though. It cannot force the release of every field or image you request.
Note: Fayette County has no separate sheriff booking-records desk, so route current-custody questions to the jail and formal requests to Open Records.
Fayette Busted Mugshots and Pennsylvania Law
Pennsylvania's Right-to-Know Law is the framework for seeking a county-held record. The law does not require the county to maintain a public image feed. Under 18 Pa.C.S. §9104, some police blotters, contemporaneous releases, court documents, and wanted-person lists have a public-facing status, while other criminal-history, investigative, privacy, or protected records can be limited. Ask the agency for the precise reason if it withholds or redacts a record.
There was no enacted Pennsylvania rule, as of the research date, requiring a county to publish booking photographs or creating a general statewide photo-removal right. Proposed bills are not enforceable rules. Sealed, expunged, juvenile, and protected records require different treatment. Fayette's expungement instructions direct filings through the Clerk of Courts and explain the county's local procedure. The fact-specific expungement framework appears in 18 Pa.C.S. §9122.
For an official correction, begin with the agency that holds the record and retain any court order. RecentlyBooked's free correction policy and Mugshots.com's record-maintenance process describe their own documentation routes, but those policies are private processes rather than Pennsylvania law. A corrected source can then be followed by a search-engine outdated-content refresh request. No outcome is automatic, and a source correction does not itself change a separate news report.
Use the published county phone number to verify any message that claims to come from a jail or county affiliate. Fayette County warns that its affiliates do not request money for an incarcerated person. An unsolicited demand should be checked with the office before any response is made.
See Fayette County's expungement instructions before preparing a court filing. The pictured county instructions show the local court path rather than a promise that an online image will be removed.
Those county instructions describe a court filing path. Read them as procedure, nothing more. They control what happens in the local courthouse, not what some other website chooses to publish about a booking.
Find Fayette County Busted Mugshots
There is no single results page for Fayette County bookings. The search works as a sequence. Start with the Fayette County Inmate Lookup. Its gateway has shown a notice about a pending update. That notice points people to the Sheriff app for the most current jail roster. Follow the county's own app link, confirm the facility, and read whatever date information appears. Treat any result as a snapshot of custody, nothing more. An empty lookup does not mean no booking occurred. Use the county's formal request route instead.
- Check the official county lookup gateway and follow the sheriff's current roster instruction.
- For a municipal arrest, identify the arresting agency and use the approximate arrest date with the county custody channel.
- Use the Pennsylvania UJS Case Search for court events and a later disposition, selecting Fayette County.
- Use a narrow Right-to-Know request for a missing, released, or older county booking record.
- Move to the state or federal locator only when the person's custody system has changed.
A warrant check and a booking search are different tasks. The Fayette warrant-check path may turn up a dated warrant list tied to a court matter. Treat any match as a lead, not live confirmation, and resolve it with the court or with counsel. For context, the Fayette crime news record path lets you place a published story next to official custody and court sources rather than letting the story stand on its own.
Fayette County Busted Roster Checks
Fayette County offers no verified searchable roster in its browser lookup. The visible notice points users to the Sheriff app instead. That makes the app the official route for current custody. It still may not show every field, or a photo for every person held. The county's Sheriff app page links the Android and iOS listings. It also states that the app carries the most up-to-date jail roster information the county publishes.
| Roster question | Verified Fayette answer |
|---|---|
| Browser search fields | Not published on the pending web gateway. |
| Current official route | The county directs users to the Sheriff app. |
| Official booking-photo policy | Not publicly verified on the gateway or app landing page. |
| Posting cadence and retention | No public county timing or persistence rule was found. |
| Custody covered | People currently in or processed through Fayette County Jail or Prison. |
Start with the county channel. Enter only the identifiers the live interface requests. Then compare the returned name, facility, and any visible date against what you already know. People move through custody quickly. A released person can vanish from a current list while an agency record still exists somewhere. A photo may never appear within a fixed number of hours, either, and no window is guaranteed for how long one stays online. The county records manual covers retention for the agency's own files, not the public app's display, and it does not treat booking images as a standalone series. The Fayette County Inmate Lookup gateway is where this roster status message appears.
When the browser route stays pending, the available image simply reinforces the county's stated app fallback. It does not show or copy an individual's booking photo.
Fayette Busted Bookings Without a Feed
Fayette County has no official browser page for a 24-hour, 48-hour, weekly, or multi-day booking feed. The app may reflect current custody. Its public landing text says nothing about a same-day window, a last-updated time, search fields, or photo behavior. Pennsylvania State Police releases can be timely for incidents that agency chooses to announce. They are not a countywide booking feed. The short version: the app is the official current-custody route, and no separate browser feed is documented.
The Herald-Standard's Policebeat section is a selective news archive, not an all-bookings log. The paper once ran a Mug Shot Corner with prior-week warrants and photos. No active version is confirmed now. RecentlyBooked claims its Fayette section refreshes several times a day and covers roughly 30 days, an unofficial secondary claim with possible gaps or stale corrections. Mugshots.com's Fayette groupings are historical, and Arrests.org offers no dependable current Fayette result set.
Current-custody distinction. A person listed by the county app is still within the Fayette County process, while a released person, a state prisoner, or a federal detainee follows an entirely different record path.
Note: A news post or secondary county index can offer a lead, but it never replaces the official custody channel, the record custodian, or the Fayette court docket.
Fayette County Official and Secondary Sources
Different Fayette County channels answer different questions. Official sources should lead, since each has a defined role. The secondary rows map the local indexing landscape. They are not an authoritative substitute for a county record. A photo on an unofficial site proves nothing about a current booking, a charge, or a court result.
| Channel | Custody or record slice | Access notes |
|---|---|---|
| County lookup and Sheriff app | Current Fayette County custody | Official route; web gateway was pending and photo policy was unverified. |
| County Open Records | County-held booking material | Official Right-to-Know request path, subject to lawful limits. |
| UJS Case Search | Fayette court case events | Official court route for docket activity and disposition. |
| PA DOC locator | State custody or supervision | Official daily-updated locator, not a new county booking feed. |
| Herald-Standard Policebeat | Selective local reporting | News coverage, not a full booking log. |
| RecentlyBooked, Mugshots.com, Arrests.org | Unofficial county indexing | Secondary and potentially stale; verify through county and court sources. |
Begin with the Fayette County Jail page. It is the proper starting point for facility identity and current custody questions. Once those official channels are exhausted, the RecentlyBooked, Mugshots.com, and Arrests.org Fayette sections can serve as secondary leads. One caution: the county's public channels do not promise universal photo display. When a source leaves the question unanswered, send a narrow request to the actual government custodian.
Fayette County State and Federal Custody
State custody is a different question from a county booking. The Pennsylvania Department of Corrections locator tells you whether someone sits in a state prison or under state supervision, and it refreshes daily. Not every profile there shows a photo, though. SCI Fayette sits in La Belle and answers to the state, not to the county jail in Uniontown. A person arrested in Fayette may never enter the state system at all, and someone still held locally may not show up there yet.
Federal custody runs on separate rails. The BOP inmate locator covers federal prisoners, while the ICE Online Detainee Locator demands exact identity fields and has its own custody limits. Neither works as a Fayette booking roster. The Marshals also restrict prisoner photos, so a federal case can exist with no public image. Pick whichever system actually holds the person you're checking.
The official PA DOC locator is the state-custody channel shown here.
After a transfer into state custody, the locator earns its keep. Before that point, though, it is no substitute for the current Fayette County custody check.
Fayette County Court Disposition After Booking
Court records live in a different system than jail rosters. Open UJS Case Search, pick Fayette County, and search by name, docket number, OTN, complaint number, incident number, SID, attorney, organization, or calendar event. Match the identifiers carefully before assuming a docket belongs to the person you looked up. For questions about public criminal filings, the Fayette Clerk of Courts is the local office to call.
A docket tells the fuller story. Preliminary arraignment, bail, hearings, pleas, trial, sentencing, and later events all appear in sequence. Cases can end in dismissal, withdrawn or amended charges, or other outcomes. The booking entry is only the first line of that trail. The pictured UJS Case Search screen is the route in, not the result itself.
When the question is what the court finally did, follow the docket. A booking image will not answer it.
Fayette County Busted Mugshots by City
City-level searches still need county context. Uniontown, Connellsville, and Masontown each run their own police department. None publishes a city arrest log or a booking feed with photos. Local arrests outside the State Police go through the Fayette County Prison booking process. A PSP arrest follows that agency's own path instead. So the city pages here keep two routes separate: the local police request and the county booking record.
- Uniontown Busted Mugshots: Uniontown City Police requests begin with the current county-directory contact, while county booking records use Fayette Open Records.
- Connellsville Busted Mugshots: Connellsville Police may be the arresting agency, but the county prison is the current booking destination for the county process.
- Masontown Busted Mugshots: borough police are dispatched through Fayette County 911, with county custody and court records following separate paths.
Two records, two custodians. The arresting agency's incident report and the Fayette County booking record never merge into one file. Send a city request to the police or borough records path. Send a booking request through the county form.
Why Fayette Bookings Moved to Prison
One recent change reshapes how older Fayette reports read. For years, a Regional Booking Center operated out of the Uniontown Police Department, handling fingerprints, photographs, and related intake for participating agencies. A county administrative order ended that arrangement and moved the Fayette County Booking Center to Fayette County Prison effective December 8, 2025. Current routing follows the present location.
The move did not hand every record to the county, either. An arrest may still start with city police. That is why the place of arrest, the incident report, the county booking record, and the court docket can each sit with a different office. Ask for the right record by date and custodian, and skip the outdated address.
Fayette County Bond and Release Records
Release status is not a case outcome. Per the county's Posting Bond page, recognizance and unsecured bond require no cash, while monetary bond has Clerk and after-hours prison procedures. The county also separates payment procedures from the court's later handling of a filing fee. All of that is release logistics, nothing more.
For current status, use the custody channel. For court action, read the docket. If an entry goes missing after release, a record request can show what the county holds within lawful limits. The practical sequence runs: arrest and intake, current custody, release or transfer, then court disposition. Each stage keeps its own custodian and its own clock.
Fayette County's Posting Bond page supplies the official process illustration below.
Bond records document the release process. They say nothing about the strength of a case.
